3WM SIGNS: PREMIUM SIGNAGE
3WM has worked with Superdry since we started trading in 2015 and we have a fantastic relationship with the brand’s store planning teams, project managers and in-house architects.
Having worked with the brand closely, we have an excellent understanding of what Superdry is looking for with its signage. The brand is high-end, with teams looking for reliable, long-lasting and carefully crafted signage that will create an instant impression on the high street or in retail malls.
“Right from concept and design, 3WM worked closely with us putting forward unique signage solutions which fitted with our vision for the store. Alan fully understood what we look for, and we could trust 3WM to meet - and exceed! - our expectations.”
Lee Patten, Project Manager, Superdry
Getting the project started
Superdry’s consultant approached 3WM for a full signage solution on the brand’s new flagship store in Berlin, including external signage, white signage for the roof of the store and internal feature ‘neon-style’ signage to support different product ranges.
Our team delivered detailed consultancy and support to the brand on this project, communicating regularly with Superdry’s project managers, retail team, local architects and consultants.
The size and location of the Berlin store meant we had to manage the project around local planning and landlord restrictions, carefully liaising with Superdry and local teams to ensure that we met all legal requirements in our design, as well as satisfying the needs of the client in creating a splash with our signage.
Our innovative solutions
Together with shopfitters we enjoy a good relationship with, we worked alongside Superdry’s team to produce and agree our detailed designs, all of which perfectly coordinated with Superdry’s brand visuals. Our drawings included designs for LED embedded lettering, neon-effect internal signage and acrylic lettering for the store’s roof.
3WM’s team manufactured much of the store’s signage in-house in our UK workshop, fully utilising all of our specialist skills to create signage of an exceptional quality. Where required, our team also sourced specific products to support the project, handling all aspects of project management including supplier liaison, shipping and quality assurance.
Travelling to Berlin, we were pleased to project manage the installation of our signage onsite. It’s key to our delivery of a quality product that we ensure installation is handled correctly by teams that we trust. From joinery and fixing to electrical connection, testing and commissioning, 3WM’s signage industry experts took great care to complete the project to the client’s complete satisfaction.
What happened next!
We’re proud to deliver outstanding projects that establish brands such as Superdry. And our involvement doesn’t stop there! It’s important to us that we continue to care for our clients and our work following installation.
All 3WM signage comes fully guaranteed for added reassurance and, in particular for Superdry Berlin, we work with local electricians and tradespeople to care for and maintain the installation. Following Berlin’s launch, our team remained in the city to monitor and fine-tune the installation. Overall, we were onsite for 5 weeks.
3WM delivers solutions that work for our clients, on time and on budget. At the time of its opening, Superdry Berlin was the brand’s largest store in the world, with signage fully supplied and managed by 3WM. This project was a fantastic demonstration of our full suite of signage solution services, and we’re pleased to continue working with the brand in the UK and Europe.
